Dolls & Soft Sculpture

Made from fabric, my soft sculptures are my 3-D version of telling stories. I sometimes think of them as a shortcut when exploring a theme or idea because their small size means I can finish one faster than a large wall piece. 

I use a number of doll making techniques to assemble the figures, so it does not bother me when someone refers to them as dolls. Many of them can be gently posed, but they should not be played with as they are not toys and might take offense.
