About the Artist
I grew up in New York City, the imaginative child of European immigrants. Every summer, My brother and I were sent to stay with relaitves abroad. I spent my time immersed in the historical landscapes of France, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. My surroundings gave life to the stories I read from Cinderella to The Three Musketeers. It is no wonder that after Art school I gravitated to the Fairy Tale imagery I am still partial to.
When asked,"How long have you been an artist?" Ianswer "Since I was five years old." Making art has been my calling my whole life. For me, It is difficult NOT to make art. Hence the B.A. and M.F.A. in Studio Art. I also continue to take classes and teach workshops in order to hone the art-making skills that enhance anyone's natural talent.
Today, I visit castles in Europe and museums in New York. I prefer the 16th and 17th century paintings in the Louvre and the Met in NYC. I continues to read both historical fiction and non-fiction for entertainment and inspiration. Anything, at all so long as it's a good story.
